How to save a post as a template

To simplify your publication creation process, you can save any of your beehiiv posts as a template which will not only save you time in the future, but they’ll also help you maintain consistency, work more efficiently, and more.

2 ways to save a post as a template

Option A: Create and save a new template from scratch

  1. From the left hand panel in your account, click on the Start Writing button and then select the Use template option.



  2. You’ll be brought to the Templates area where you’ll see your previously saved templates (if you have any). Click on the New template button.



  3. A new template will open, give it a name and then you can type / to access the post editor.



  4. Create the template in the same way you would any post. Utilize the Preview button to see how the template will look to others. When finished, click on the Save button. 

Option B: Save it as a template directly from a post

From an open post, go to the menu options on the right and in the bottom bar click on Save Template

 

How to view, edit, or delete a saved template

  1. From the left hand panel in your account, click on the Start Writing button and then select the Use template option.



  2. You’ll be brought to the Templates area where you’ll see your previously saved templates.



  3. Click on the 3 dots for any template to reveal the options, choose from View, Edit, or Delete.
