How do I downgrade my account?

1. Log into your account and from the left hand panel, click on Settings.

2. Click on Billing

3. You’ll see your account downgrade options, which are dependent on the type of plan you are on. (Downgrade options will only be visible if you're already on a paid plan.)

You can either downgrade to one of our other plans, or choose to downgrade to the Launch plan, which is free. In this example, we will choose the Downgrade to free option.

4. If you select to downgrade to another paid plan, then you will be brought through the Stripe verification process. Otherwise, you’ll be presented with a confirmation form where you will need to select a reason for the change, then click on Next

5. Naturally, we don’t want you to downgrade, so there’s another chance for you to change your mind with a customized offer, click on Next to continue.

6. Depending on the plan you are downgrading from, you’ll be presented with what to expect when your plan changes at the end of the billing period, click on Next to continue.

7. A recap of what you can expect when you downgrade will appear for your to review, click on Downgrade to confirm.

8. Once done, you’ll be brought back to your beehiiv account where you will see that the new plans for your upcoming downgrade are in place. It will show your current plan and rate, as well as the new rate and start date that the upcoming plan will begin on. 

You will still have access to your current premium plan until the end of your current billing period.

That’s it. You’ve successfully set up a downgrade of your current plan that will go into effect on the start date of your next billing period.
